Thrive Wellness Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in substance abuse treatment. This full-time remote position offers flexibility while allowing you to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals seeking recovery from addiction. It features a competitive salary within the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in scheduling to meet the diverse needs of our clients. However, you will also collaborate regularly with a diverse and multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals within our outpatient facility. Our team includes licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers who all work towards a shared goal of providing integrated and holistic care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and compassionate assessments of clients’ substance use history, mental health status, and specific treatment needs utilizing standardized assessment tools.
  • Collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that delineate strategies for addressing both addiction and any co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, implementing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) tailored to each client’s unique situation.
  • Work closely with fellow treatment team members to ensure continuity of care, sharing insights and strategies that can enhance the recovery process.
  • Educate clients' family members about substance use and recovery processes, strengthening the support system surrounding each individual's recovery journey.
  • Ensure that all documentation is kept up-to-date and complies with ethical standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele consists of individuals confronting substance use disorders, along with those experiencing co-occurring mental health challenges. Qualifications
  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
  • A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline is necessary for this role.
