Job description

Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking multiple full-time Remote Pharmacy Technicians to join our team in support of various VA Medical Centers. This position is based out of the VA New Mexico Health Care System and is fully remote; however, candidates must reside within 50 miles of 1501 San Pedro Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
Shifts may be scheduled between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM Pacific Time. By accepting employment with Ansible, you acknowledge that your assigned schedule may change based on operational needs and at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Our customers face wide-ranging challenges in the fields of health care, national security, and information technology. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.
Responsibilities
  • Process and submit new prescription requests and medication renewal requests, including controlled substances, using approved VA protocols.
  • Answer telephone calls from Veterans, physicians, and healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions and medication questions.
  • Review prescription profiles and provide status updates on medications within technician scope.
  • Document patient and staff interactions in CPRS and other VA systems as required.
  • Respond to questions regarding expired, discontinued, deleted, or unavailable medications and escalate clinical issues to pharmacists.
  • Verify patient identity prior to discussing protected health information.
  • Manage inbound calls while meeting national productivity and quality metrics.
  • Provide professional customer service to Veterans, staff, and external customers.
  • Operate phone systems efficiently, including transferring calls and placing callers on hold when appropriate.
  • Follow Pharmacy Contact Center scripts and workflows.
  • Resolve Veteran concerns at the first point of contact whenever possible.
  • Seek guidance from team leads, pharmacists, or supervisors for unusual or complex issues.
  • Maintain access and compliance with VA electronic health record systems and security requirements.
  • Maintain national pharmacy technician certification throughout employment.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • US Citizen
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an Academic Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
  • Must hold one of the following active national certifications:
    • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB
    • Certified Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT) through NHA
    • All certifications must remain current and active.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.

All candidates must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
