FeatureRemote RealtorRemote Real Estate Agent
CredentialsReal estate license, MLS membershipReal estate license, MLS membership
Work EnvironmentVirtual, client meetings, property researchVirtual, client meetings, property research
Industry UsageCommonly used in real estate industry

Remote Realtors and Remote Real Estate Agents both require real estate licenses and work primarily in virtual environments. The terms are often used interchangeably, but 'Realtor' specifically refers to members of the National Association of Realtors, while 'Real Estate Agent' is a broader term. Both roles involve assisting clients with property transactions remotely, making them similar in credentials and work setting.

How much does a realtor make off of a $300,000 house?

A remote realtor typically earns a commission based on the sale price, often around 2-3%, which on a $300,000 house would be $6,000 to $9,000. The realtor's commission is usually split with their brokerage, so their actual earnings depend on their agreement and sales volume.

What is a remote realtor?

A remote realtor is a licensed real estate agent who conducts most or all of their business activities online or over the phone, rather than meeting clients in person. They utilize digital tools to assist clients in buying, selling, or renting properties from a distance, including virtual tours, electronic document signing, and online communication. Remote realtors can work from anywhere, allowing them to serve clients in various locations and offer flexible scheduling. This approach is especially beneficial for clients relocating from different cities or those who prefer minimal in-person contact.

How do Remote Realtors effectively manage client relationships and property showings without being physically present?

Remote Realtors rely heavily on digital tools to build and maintain strong client relationships, often using video calls, virtual tours, and digital document management platforms. While they may not be present for every property showing, they coordinate with local agents, arrange virtual walkthroughs, and utilize detailed multimedia listings to ensure clients have all the information they need. Strong communication skills and prompt responsiveness are essential to provide a seamless experience for both buyers and sellers. This approach allows Remote Realtors to expand their reach geographically while maintaining high levels of service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Realtor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Realtor, you need a real estate license, in-depth knowledge of property markets, and strong sales and negotiation skills. Familiarity with virtual tour software, CRM systems, and online listing platforms is essential for remote property transactions. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and digital networking abilities set top performers apart in a virtual environment. These skills ensure you can effectively serve clients, close deals remotely, and build a strong reputation in a competitive digital marketplace.

    Job Description

    POSITION OVERVIEW

Great marketing happens when strategy, storytelling, and execution come together-and that's exactly where this role thrives.

The Marketing Specialist, Integrated Marketing supports the execution of integrated marketing initiatives that strengthen Stream's brand, support business development, and engage both internal and external audiences. While leading the firm's day-to-day social media and internal communications execution, this role also contributes across public relations, pursuit support, positioning, presentations, and marketing content-helping ensure Stream's stories and expertise are consistently represented across every audience and channel. This is a remote position that partners closely with National Marketing, regional marketing, brokerage, and business leaders.

This is an ideal opportunity for a marketing professional who wants to grow across the full integrated marketing discipline while also executing day-to-day social and internal communications. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, highly organized, self-directed in a remote environment, and energized by variety.

    WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE

This is more than a traditional marketing specialist position, and it's fully remote. It's an opportunity to work across the full integrated marketing ecosystem: shaping brand stories, supporting pursuits, engaging employees, driving digital and social engagement, and delivering marketing that drives meaningful business outcomes. You'll work alongside experienced marketing professionals and gain exposure to every discipline within a modern, integrated marketing organization.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Digital & Social Engagement

    • Execute day-to-day social media strategy across key social media channels, including content planning, platform-specific content creation, scheduling, publishing, community engagement, and performance reporting.
    • Support website content updates, email campaigns, and other digital marketing initiatives that extend Stream's brand and reach.
    • Monitor digital and social performance, using analytics and insights to optimize content, audience engagement, and campaign effectiveness.

    Communications

    • Develop and distribute internal communications, leadership announcements, and employee engagement content that informs and connects employees.
    • Support public relations initiatives, including media relations, press releases, award submissions, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership promotion.
    • Coordinate messaging across internal and external channels to ensure a consistent brand voice and timely communication.

    Content & Business Development

    • Contribute to the content development for positioning and pursuit materials that strengthen business development outcomes.
    • Conduct competitive and market research to inform positioning strategies and strengthen pursuit messaging.
    • Help maintain content libraries and marketing assets to ensure materials remain current, organized, and easily accessible.

    Collaboration & Project Management

    • Partner with National Marketing, regional marketing, brokerage, and business leaders to coordinate projects and deliver integrated marketing initiatives from concept through execution.
    • Manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.

    Marketing Technology & Innovation

    • Leverage marketing technology and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, content development, campaign execution, and collaboration.
    • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve processes, measure results, and enhance marketing effectiveness.

    WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

    • Builds a consistent, engaging digital and social presence that strengthens Stream's brand and drives measurable engagement.
    • Delivers compelling content that support business development and reinforce Stream's market position.
    • Serves as a trusted marketing partner by proactively supporting communications initiatives, collaborating across teams, and delivering high-quality work with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
    • Continuously improves marketing effectiveness through innovation, AI, and process improvement.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
    • 2-5 years of marketing, communications, or public relations experience, with exposure across social media, content development, and business development support.
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills; writing samples recommended.
    • Strong project management abilities with keen attention to detail, and the self-direction to thrive in a remote work environment.
    • A collaborative mindset and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, CRM platforms, social media management/scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar), email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, or similar), and AI productivity tools is a plus.
