Industry UsageCommonly used in real estate industry

Remote Realtors and Remote Real Estate Agents both require real estate licenses and work primarily in virtual environments. Both roles involve assisting clients with property transactions remotely, making them similar in credentials and work setting.

A remote realtor typically earns a commission based on the sale price, often around 2-3%, which on a $300,000 house would be $6,000 to $9,000. The realtor's commission is usually split with their brokerage, so their actual earnings depend on their agreement and sales volume.

What is a remote realtor?

A remote realtor is a licensed real estate agent who conducts most or all of their business activities online or over the phone, rather than meeting clients in person. They utilize digital tools to assist clients in buying, selling, or renting properties from a distance, including virtual tours, electronic document signing, and online communication. Remote realtors can work from anywhere, allowing them to serve clients in various locations and offer flexible scheduling. This approach is especially beneficial for clients relocating from different cities or those who prefer minimal in-person contact.

How do Remote Realtors effectively manage client relationships and property showings without being physically present?

Remote Realtors rely heavily on digital tools to build and maintain strong client relationships, often using video calls, virtual tours, and digital document management platforms. While they may not be present for every property showing, they coordinate with local agents, arrange virtual walkthroughs, and utilize detailed multimedia listings to ensure clients have all the information they need. Strong communication skills and prompt responsiveness are essential to provide a seamless experience for both buyers and sellers. This approach allows Remote Realtors to expand their reach geographically while maintaining high levels of service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Realtor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Realtor, you need a real estate license, in-depth knowledge of property markets, and strong sales and negotiation skills. Excellent communication, self-motivation, and digital networking abilities set top performers apart in a virtual environment. These skills ensure you can effectively serve clients, close deals remotely, and build a strong reputation in a competitive digital marketplace.

We don't require a specific degree or experience, but we're looking for translatable skills and relevant expertise. We will provide you with the training and development opportunities needed to build a career here!

About The Role:

As an Auditor, Branch and Realty, you'll conduct independent internal audits of Branch and Veterans United Realty locations to help evaluate processes, identify risks, and strengthen the overall control environment. This role includes audit planning, fieldwork, data review, documentation, communication of findings, and follow-up with business units to make sure agreed-upon action items are completed.

You'll work closely with leaders and teammates across the organization to understand how work is being done, assess whether controls are working as intended, and recommend practical improvements when gaps or risks are identified.

Here's a snapshot of what you'd be doing:

  • Developing, planning, and conducting independent internal audits of Branch, Site, and Veterans United Realty locations.

  • Traveling to Remote/Branch locations as needed to complete audit work, meet with business partners, and evaluate processes directly(approximately 3-12 trips per year).

  • Reviewing processes, procedures, controls, documentation, and datasets to identify risks, inconsistencies, gaps, or opportunities for improvement.

  • Analyzing and interpreting data to support audit conclusions and identify trends or issues that may need additional review.

  • Presenting audit findings clearly and professionally to leaders and business partners.

  • Recommending practical resolutions that help address findings, reduce risk, and strengthen the control environment.

  • Following up with business units to help ensure agreed-upon action items are completed.

  • Assisting with audit planning and scoping activities, including supporting policy reviews and external exam requests.

  • Partnering with business units to better understand processes, risks, controls, and operational challenges.

  • Providing consulting support when appropriate to help improve operational effectiveness and support organizational objectives.

  • Managing multiple audit priorities, deadlines, documentation needs, travel schedules, and follow-up items at the same time.

  • Pitching in wherever needed to help make the team and culture stronger, excluding licensed activity.

About You:

  • You have a dedicated work ethic and take pride in doing thorough, accurate work.

  • You're highly detail-oriented and can spot inconsistencies, gaps, or issues that others may miss.

  • You're comfortable reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting datasets as part of your work.

  • You're organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, audits, and follow-up items.

  • You communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in conversation.

  • You're comfortable asking questions, gathering information, and working with leaders and teammates across different business areas.

  • You can share findings or concerns in a clear, respectful, and solutions-focused way.

  • You're adaptable and can adjust when priorities, timelines, travel needs, or business expectations change.

  • You bring strong customer service instincts and understand the importance of building productive relationships with the teams you support.

  • You can excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment where accuracy, follow-through, and sound judgment matter.

  • You thrive in a highly cooperative work setting while still being able to conduct objective, independent audit work.

  • You're comfortable regularly traveling to Remote/Branch locations to conduct audits, with travel expectations varying by assigned focus area.

  • You're comfortable with basic computer technologies appropriate for an internet-based company.

  • You show up consistently and can be counted on through regular and predictable attendance.

  • Familiarity with the mortgage loan process is preferred.
