Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and evaluations to identify clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions primarily through teletherapy, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
• Collaborate with clients to set achievable therapeutic goals, monitor their progress, and adjust treatment strategies as necessary, ensuring that care remains client-centered and effective.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions and treatment plans, complying with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in regular team meetings to share insights and strategies that enhance client care and practice efficiency.
• Engage in continuing education opportunities to expand your clinical competencies and stay abreast of new therapeutic methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Goodwin Mental Health Center, you will work collaboratively with clients from diverse backgrounds, utilizing culturally competent approaches to ensure that their unique experiences are understood and addressed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or Doctorate in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• A current, valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building trust and rapport with clients in remote settings.
• Demonstrated empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental attitude when addressing clients' mental health concerns.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to efficiently manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth counseling and familiarity with relevant technology platforms is highly desirable.
• Previous work experience in a clinical setting focusing on individual therapy will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
