Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients’ mental health concerns, including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
• Engage in one-on-one therapeutic sessions, providing a supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
• Utilize teletherapy options, ensuring clients who prefer virtual care or face accessibility challenges can receive the support they need.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation in accordance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to remain current with emerging trends and practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Goodwin Mental Health Center, you will work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health issues. Our clients may struggle with anxiety disorders, depression, relationship challenges, trauma-related symptoms, or stress management, among others. Your role will be pivotal in supporting them on their path to recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Empathy, compassion, and the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences.
• Strong organizational skills to effectively manage caseload duties and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a wide range of mental health conditions, particularly within a community health setting.
• Familiarity with remote therapy practices and telehealth technology.
• Proven track record of implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
