Job Description:
The Logistics Service Provider Lead will be responsible for developing, driving, and executing within the parcel distribution category for Reality Labs at Meta, focused on express carriers. We are seeking individuals who desire to be at the forefront of breakthrough technology and contribute to building a world-class logistics network. This Logistics Service Provider Lead will collaborate closely with Logistics Operations, Network Design, Application Management, Solution Leads, from prototype to mass production and reverse, to ensure lowest total landed costs without sacrificing superior service. The individual will lead sourcing and ongoing carrier management related to express carrier services, championing customer promise performance and continuous improvement throughout the logistics network.
Logistics Service Provider Lead (Key Projects/Day-to-Day) Responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with existing global express carriers and implement a carrier performance framework and conduct periodic carrier business reviews with management and the cross-functional team.
Identify new regional and local potential candidates, including App-Based parcel services.
Establish carrier selection criteria, evaluate and manage the selection process, and drive final selection in partnership with XFN partners.
Negotiate Agreements and Statements of Work (SOW) with carriers to establish best-in-class pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Meta to drive negotiation strategies, identify cost reduction opportunities, and optimize carrier pricing and service levels.
Build relationships with peers and stakeholders on organization-wide initiatives, obtaining alignment on objectives and articulating strategy, with a focus on driving growth and innovation in parcel distribution.
Proactively identify new opportunities outside of their functional area and lead cross-functional organizational initiatives to drive innovation and growth in logistics categories.
Requisition Details
5+ years of direct experience with sourcing and/or managing of express carrier services, or in a commercial role at global express integrator.
Experience operating in an ecommerce environment and networks.
Strong leadership and cross-functional teamwork skills.
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels of management.
Experience navigating ambiguity and prioritizing multiple workstreams.
Must have skills:
Previous experience with Parcel Express
5+ years of direct experience with sourcing and/or managing of express carrier services, or in a commercial role at global express integrator.
Experience operating in an ecommerce environment and networks.
Nice-to-have Skills
Logistics procurement perhaps from DHL Express, UPS, or Fedex
