Position Overview: We are seeking board-certified Critical Care Physicians to join our innovative Tele-ICU team. In this fully remote role, you will provide critical care services through advanced telemedicine technology, delivering real-time management for critically ill patients across multiple AdventHealth ICUs during overnight shifts (7 PM โ€“ 7 AM). Collaborating closely with bedside clinicians, you will help ensure exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

โ€ข Work 15 12-hour clinical shifts monthly or 180 clinical shifts yearly.

โ€ข Provide remote critical care consultation, management, and intervention for ICU patients across AdventHealth hospitals.

โ€ข Collaborate effectively with on-site intensivists, hospitalists, nurses, and advanced practice providers (APPs) to create comprehensive patient care plans.

โ€ข Utilize state-of-the-art telemedicine platforms for real-time patient assessments, management, and documentation.

โ€ข Respond promptly to rapid response events, critical changes, and emergencies.

โ€ข Actively participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.

โ€ข Provide continuous vigilance to identify opportunities for intervention to improve patient outcomes.

โ€ข Maintain accurate and timely patient records per AdventHealth policies and regulatory standards.

โ€ข Actively participate in and contribute to developing telemedicine operating procedures and protocols for telemedicine care for ICU patients.

โ€ข Stay informed of evolving best practices in critical care medicine and telehealth.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

โ€ข MD or DO from an accredited institution.

โ€ข Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine.

โ€ข Active, unrestricted medical licenses in states serviced by AdventHealth.

โ€ข Active, unrestricted federal Drug Enforcement Agency license.

โ€ข Minimum 5 years of bedside ICU experience; telemedicine experience preferred but not required.

โ€ข Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR), telemedicine technology, and computer skills.

โ€ข Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead remotely during urgent clinical situations.

โ€ข Independent, self-motivated, and adept at collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
