The Opportunity

Byrd Campbell is seeking a highly capable Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our growing Commercial Real Estate Group.

This is a rare opportunity for an attorney with strong transactional real estate experience to work fully remotely while taking meaningful ownership of sophisticated, high-value commercial real estate matters on a national platform.

The attorney in this role will not be limited to supporting transactions from the sidelines. You will work directly with clients and senior decision-makers, manage matters from initial structuring through closing, and develop quickly within a firm that trusts its attorneys with real responsibility.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical commercial real estate experience with sound business judgment, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, responsiveness, and the ability to manage an active deal flow with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commercial real estate transactions from initial term sheet or letter of intent through closing.
• Represent clients in acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, commercial leasing, real estate financing, and related transactional matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and revise purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, commercial leases, lease amendments, development agreements, easements, restrictive covenants, reciprocal easement agreements, estoppel certificates, SNDAs, assignments, entity documents, and other transaction-related agreements.
• Conduct and oversee due diligence, including title, survey, zoning, land use, environmental, lease, and organizational review.
• Identify legal and business risks, recommend practical solutions, and provide clear, commercially focused counsel to clients.
• Coordinate with title companies, lenders, brokers, opposing counsel, consultants, and other transaction participants to keep matters moving efficiently toward closing.
• Manage multiple active matters, deadlines, and client priorities with strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Firm's real estate, corporate, business, and litigation practices when client matters require broader strategic support.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the Firm's Commercial Real Estate practice and build strong, lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with either the Florida Bar or Texas Bar required; Texas Bar admission is preferred.
• Three to seven years of substantive commercial real estate transactional experience.
• Demonstrated experience with commercial acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, development, title and survey review, due diligence, and transaction closings.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a broad range of commercial real estate agreements.
• Ability to independently manage complex matters while exercising sound legal and commercial judgment.
• Excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and client-service skills.
• Strong work ethic, responsiveness, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Commitment to the Firm's standards of excellence, professionalism, ethics, and collegiality.
