  • Represent clients in civil court proceedings and before government agencies
  • Draft, prepare, and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and settlement agreements
  • Handle law and motion practice, including filing and arguing motions
  • Negotiate settlements for real estate, landlord/tenant, and construction-related disputes
  • Advise clients on legal rights, risks, and strategies related to their real estate and business matters
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable California legal standards and regulations
  • Perform administrative and management functions as they relate to the day-to-day practice of law

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active California State Bar license (required)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in legal drafting and legal research
  • Experience in real estate law, construction law, and/or landlord/tenant law, with a preference for California commercial real estate litigation
  • Solid understanding of California civil procedure
  • Proven ability to draft and argue motions, negotiate settlements, and represent clients effectively in court
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Real estate broker's license is a plus, but not required
