Position Description: The Java Developer designs, develops, and maintains applications.
Minimum/General Experience: 8 years of Java development experience
Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
  • Excellent proficiency in Java development
  • Excellent proficiency in Spring Boot framework
  • Excellent experience with Docker for containerization
  • Excellent experience with Kubernetes to manage containerized applications
  • Excellent knowledge of building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Excellent understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns
  • Above average experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube)
  • Above average experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Above average proficiency with Git for version control
  • Above average experience working in an Agile methodology development environment
  • Experience supporting a federal agency

  • Designs and develops RESTful APIs and integrates with third-party services
  • Collaborates in building CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
  • Leads code reviews and ensures the application of best coding practices
  • Provides time and resource estimates for assigned tasks or projects
  • Works closely with frontend developers, Quality Assurance (QA) engineers, and other members of the software development team
  • Identifies and resolves performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical issues
  • Maintains clear and concise documentation for developed modules and applications
  • Provides defect resolution and issue tracking
  • Leads and provides mentoring and guidance to less senior developers

Compensation & Benefits: The annual projected pay range for this position is $110,305.00 - $155,075.00 with consideration being given to various factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and geographic location.
