This position is fully remote, providing flexibility for our counselors to work from home while maintaining a connection with a collaborative team. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapeutic strategies for clients.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, groups, couples, and families, tailoring approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy based on client needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care, participating in case consultations and care coordination efforts.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring that clinical documentation is up to date and readily available for review.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in workshops, seminars, and training sessions to stay informed about advancements in mental health research and therapeutic techniques.

Our practice serves a diverse client population, including individuals and families who have limited access to mental health resources. You will address a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship issues. The ideal candidate will empathize with clients from different backgrounds and provide culturally competent care tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is mandatory, with a preference for backgrounds in outpatient settings.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Proficiency in using EMR software and related technologies for documentation and client management.

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment is highly desirable.
• Experience in working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, demonstrating an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• A background in providing group therapy or workshops is a plus.
