Job Summary:

This role is a member of the technical staff and fills a pivotal role as a project manager effectively manages schedule, budget, and technical scope to reduce risk and manage dynamic and changing projects. The ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented professional who also has problem-solving project manager experience with commercial and institutional feasibility studies and design projects.

Work is performed in an office environment in New York City with flexibility for remote work. Occasional visits to customer locations for observation and research may also be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review project requirements and obtain clarification on any conflicting, missing, or vague items.
  • Plan project activities, costs, and schedules based on team inputs and client scopes.
  • Support proposal development for scope and deliverable expectations.
  • Initiate newly awarded projects with team and client stakeholders and establish the performance baselines.
  • Manage the project team to ensure production of complete, timely, quality deliverables within budget.
  • Manage project-related meetings and keep minutes.
  • Manage internal cross discipline coordination.
  • Generate project reports utilizing company software tools.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with team leads
  • Ensure quality control meets company and client standards throughout the project.
  • Control project scope when issues or changes surface and coordinate the changes with company management and clients.
  • Closeout projects ensuring all deliverable have been provided and documentation is complete.
  • Track lessons learned and communicate with management to support continuous improvements in company processes.
  • Support new business development opportunities.
  • Communicate and coordinate with office management on project status.
  • Promote and represent the firm in a professional manner.
  • Supervise and provide performance feedback to peers and subordinates.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of an ABET accredited Bachelor of Science Degree.
  • 5-7 years technical experience in the architecture/engineering/construction field.
  • 3-5 years project management experience.
  • Proficient in project management skillsets like critical path, cost control, budget and deliverable tracking, risk management and communication.
  • Proficient with Microsoft: Windows, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Basic proficiency with Bluebeam, SharePoint, CAD and Revit.

Location: New York City

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, project experience and qualifications.
