Role Overview:Achieve Test Prep is seeking a Remote Wastewater Instructor to prepare and tutor students pursuing wastewater treatment, environmental technology, or related certification and examination pathways.
Instructors will teach either one 3-hour session per week or two 2-hour sessions per week, guiding learners through standardized exam preparation and practical, industry-relevant concepts.
All instructional materials-including PowerPoint presentations, syllabus, and study guides-are provided. No grading or paper review is required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Teach assigned class schedules and serve as a substitute instructor as needed
  • Deliver engaging, easy-to-understand instruction on wastewater treatment concepts
  • Motivate and support students in achieving certification or exam readiness
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring support when needed
  • Adapt instruction in real time to accommodate varying experience levels
  • Track student progress and share key observations with the eLearning team
  • Collaborate with instructors and participate in team meetings
  • Perform other eLearning-related duties as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Professional experience in wastewater treatment, industrial wastewater, or water treatment plant operations
  • Background in engineering-adjacent fields, skilled trades, or applied sciences
  • Qualifications may include (but are not limited to):
    • Wastewater Treatment Operator experience
    • Environmental Engineering or Environmental Technology
    • Industrial or Municipal Plant Operations
    • Chemistry or Biology related to water treatment processes
  • Teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferred (online teaching a plus)
  • Comfortable using Zoom, Moodle, and common eLearning tools (Google Docs/Slides)
  • Strong communication, coaching, and learner-engagement skills
