Responsibilities
Octave is seeking an Account Executive to join our Team. Based in the Eastern or Central US, the Account Executive will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the mid-market segment. You will work closely with prospective clients to understand their needs and demonstrate how Octave's QMS solution (formerly ETQ's solution) can help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Prospect, identify, and generate new business opportunities within the mid-market segment.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct discovery calls, product demonstrations, and presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and needs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales development representatives (SDRs), and customer success teams to drive lead conversion and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecasting data in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and ETQ's product offerings.

Education / Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B software sales, preferably within SaaS, QMS, compliance, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and ability to drive deals to close.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage with decision-makers and stakeholders at mid-market companies.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
