Remote Racing Team information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Racing Team member, and why are they important?

To thrive as a member of a Remote Racing Team, you need expertise in motorsports engineering, data analysis, and race strategy, often backed by a degree in engineering or a related field. Familiarity with telemetry systems, race simulation software, and communication platforms such as radio systems is typically required. Strong teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and effective remote communication skills set outstanding team members apart. These skills ensure the team can make real-time decisions, optimize performance, and maintain seamless coordination during high-pressure racing events.

How does a remote racing team coordinate and communicate effectively across different locations?

In a remote racing team, effective communication is facilitated through digital platforms such as video conferencing, project management tools, and instant messaging. Team members regularly participate in virtual meetings to discuss strategies, review data, and address any technical challenges. Collaboration is key, as engineers, drivers, and support staff must share real-time information and feedback despite being geographically dispersed. This structure allows for flexibility but also requires strong self-discipline and proactive communication to ensure everyone stays aligned with the team's goals.

What is a Remote Racing Team?

A Remote Racing Team is a group of motorsport professionals who collaborate to support a racing team without being physically present at the racetrack. Using advanced technology, team members such as engineers, strategists, and data analysts monitor live data and provide real-time feedback and decision-making from remote locations. This approach enhances efficiency, reduces travel costs, and enables teams to utilize specialized skills from experts around the world. Remote Racing Teams are increasingly common in professional motorsports, especially in Formula 1, where data-driven decisions are critical to race success.

Do F1 teams have remote jobs?

F1 teams primarily require on-site work due to the hands-on nature of racing operations, engineering, and car development. However, some roles in data analysis, software development, and remote administrative tasks may be performed remotely, especially during off-season periods or for positions involving simulation and programming. Most technical and engineering positions typically require presence at the team's facilities.

Job description

In-House Counsel (REMOTE)

Job Title: In-House Counsel (Remote)

Company Type: Premier Personal Injury Law Firm

Work Environment: Fully Remote / High-Growth / Digital-First Operations

The Role

We are seeking a specialized In-House Counsel who loves the "law" side of lawyering. Unlike traditional client-facing roles, this position is focused on the firm's internal litigation needs. You will be responsible for navigating the firm through minor's compromise petitions, fee arbitrations, and representing the firm in legal disputes or lawsuits.

The ideal candidate is a "writer's lawyer" who is equally comfortable arguing a complex motion before a judge as they are drafting a meticulous brief.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specialized Petitions: Manage and execute the firm's minor's compromise petitions from start to finish, ensuring court approval for high-value settlements.

  • Firm Litigation: Represent the firm's interests in fee arbitrations and internal or external lawsuits where the firm is a party.

  • Heavy Motion Practice: Research, draft, and argue high-level motions. This role is significantly more motion and hearing-driven than client-facing.

  • Internal Advisory: Collaborate with the in-house legal team to mitigate risk and provide counsel on firm-wide legal strategy.

  • Remote Advocacy: Appear at hearings (primarily via CourtCall/Zoom) and maintain a rigorous litigation schedule from a remote environment.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active member in good standing with the California State Bar (Required).

  • Experience: 5+ years of litigation experience. Prior in-house experience at a law firm is highly preferred.

  • Litigation Specialist: You must genuinely enjoy the litigation process-specifically the thrill of oral advocacy and the precision of written motions.

  • Technical Writing: Exceptional writing skills with a proven track record of winning contested motions.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Familiarity with CCP, fee dispute resolution, and the procedural nuances of California probate/civil courts regarding minor's compromises.

  • Remote Proficiency: Ability to manage a heavy calendar of hearings and deadlines autonomously.

Why Join This Team?

  • Focus on the Craft: If you prefer the courtroom and the library to constant client intake and case management, this is your ideal role.

  • Elite Support: Work as part of a sophisticated in-house team within one of California's most successful personal injury practices.

  • Flexibility: A rare opportunity to handle high-level litigation and "heavy lifting" motion work in a 100% remote capacity.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with litigation experience ($125-175k salary).

Please submit your resume along with a recent writing sample (e.g., a noticed motion or trial brief) that showcases your persuasive writing abilities.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Employer paid health, dental, vision
  • 401k
  • Flexible PTO
  • Work remotely
