About Vespel

The Role

DuPont's Vespel business is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across key Aerospace & Defense accounts.

In this role, you will partner across marketing, engineering, and operations to expand customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and grow the portfolio.

Location: Remote (U.S.-based) with flexibility nationwide; preferred locations include CT, DC, MD, TX, FL, or OH
Travel: Ability to travel up to 50%

What You'll Do

  • Build and expand relationships with A&D OEMs, defense contractors, and U.S. Government (DoD) stakeholders

  • Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities

  • Analyze customer needs and define solutions to address capability gaps

  • Lead customer engagement and strategic capture plans

  • Support product and technology roadmap development

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineering or related field preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial and/or military aerospace

  • Strong industry expertise and established customer network

  • Experience analyzing DoD/customer requirements and identifying technical solutions

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategy

  • Self-starter with strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in materials science or engineering

  • Strong technical acumen and ability to translate complex information into solutions

  • Experience with U.S. Government acquisition processes (DoD, AFRL, NASA)

  • Track record of closing deals and driving projects to completion

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
