Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$38.48 - $50.01 / hour

Summary

The Manager Hospital Outpatient Coding is responsible for theoverall leadership and operational managementof the outpatient medical coding function. This role ensures accuracy, integrity, and complianceof coding practices while supporting organizational performance through effective team leadership, quality oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. This role ensures financial accuracy, oversees coder productivity, and enforces regulatory compliance. Ensures all medical coding complies with federal and state laws, through a process of audits and process improvement. Through a process of root cause analysis, will identify areas of opportunity and proactively lead project teams to ensure system integrity and performance.

Requirements

Education: Associates degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field required. 3 years of leadership experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years Hospital coding supervision required.

Certification: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) required.

License: N/A

Other: Experience with EMR systems and coding software (e.g., Epic, Solventum etc.) Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
