Director of Marketing

Bernau Capital Partner's is seeking a Marketing Director to be located out of our home office in West Des Moines, Iowa. This candidate will lead all Marketing functions throughout the United States. We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Marketing who has successfully led marketing efforts across multiple industries. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, adapts quickly to new markets, and knows how to translate business goals into high-impact marketing strategies no matter the sector.

The Director of Marketing leads the execution of marketing, communications, and public relations initiatives that support business development and growth objectives. This role partners closely with Senior Leadership and Business Leaders to support priority pursuits through proposal strategy, presales marketing, targeted digital campaigns, and demand-generation efforts. The Marketing Director ensures consistent brand execution across product lines, individual entities, manages and develops marketing staff, and tracks performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and return on marketing investments. This role has direct and indirect supervisory responsibility for marketing personnel and reports to the Vice President of Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strong strategic thinking paired with a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, brand management, and performance marketing.
  • History of building and scaling marketing programs in changing environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
