Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO)
Location: City of Canton, Georgia
Work Authorization: US Citizen

Security Clearance / Suitability
• Must pass City background check
• Must comply with City governance and strategic planning requirements
Role Summary
Provides strategic IT leadership, planning, and advisory services. Supports budgeting, technology roadmaps, and long-term IT strategy for the City of Canton.
Mandatory Requirements
• Must provide strategic consulting aligned with City goals
• Must support budget planning and investment decisions
• Must attend City meetings (1-2 times per year)
• Must not perform out-of-scope work without written approval
Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain technology roadmap
• Provide strategic IT guidance to City leadership
• Analyze data from alignment reviews, support tickets, and monitoring tools
• Identify risks and areas for improvement
• Support procurement and long-term IT planning
• Provide recommendations for infrastructure upgrades and modernization
Education Qualification
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Preferred certifications: ITIL, CISSP, CISM, PMP
Experience Required
• 7-10 years of IT leadership or CIO-level advisory experience
