Title: Public Information Officer - Full Time
Qualifications: Training and skills necessary to successfully carry out the
requirement of the position.
Reports To: Superintendent and/or designee
Performance Responsibilities may include:
  • Maintain media contacts and issue media advisories about district and school news, events, programs
  • Write and distribute weekly press releases about district news and events
  • Cover school and district events, including monthly BOE meetings, for photos and articles. Work with school publicity liaisons to get additional coverage
  • Maintain district web content for news and information sections by posting and updating at least weekly. Post emergency notices on web site as needed
  • Design print materials for district as needed
  • Produce special projects including videos, referendums/budget materials, presentations
  • Advise superintendent and administrators on public relations matters as needed
  • Oversee and complete necessary documents and reports for non-public students and AIL.
  • Any additional duties as assigned.
