Job description

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead a remote team focused on IT training, application support, systems readiness, end-user success, and operational technology support. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT leader with strong healthcare technology knowledge, experience supporting clinical and administrative systems, and the ability to improve system stability, data accuracy, compliance, and user adoption in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The IT Manager will oversee a team responsible for application support, end-user training, workflow documentation, system readiness, and day-to-day technology support. This position requires a service-focused leader who can manage priorities, support remote employees, partner with internal stakeholders, and ensure users receive consistent, professional, and high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and support a remote team of IT training, application support, and technical support specialists

Oversee the design, development, configuration, and delivery of IT and healthcare application training programs

Support system stability, application readiness, data integrity, workflow efficiency, and compliance requirements

Partner with clinical, operational, administrative, and technical leaders to align IT support and training efforts with organizational needs

Maintain and improve documentation, workflows, training materials, support procedures, and knowledge base resources

Monitor team performance, manage schedules and assignments, prioritize workloads, and ensure timely issue resolution

Provide hands-on support and guidance for escalated technical, application, access, workflow, and user support issues

Promote a service-first culture focused on accountability, collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement

Ensure IT support activities align with healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, privacy standards, security expectations, and organizational policies

Identify opportunities to improve user experience, system adoption, support processes, and overall IT service delivery

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree in Clinical Informatics, Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

OR

High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 2 years of IT operations, healthcare IT, application support, or technical support experience

Active HIPAA compliance credential/training

Strong working knowledge of IT workflows, healthcare applications, data integrity, end-user training, and support best practices

Experience leading teams, managing priorities, coordinating workloads, and supporting remote employees

Strong communication, organization, documentation, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Ability to work collaboratively with clinical, operational, administrative, and technical teams

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

Prior management, supervisory, or team lead experience in healthcare IT, application support, clinical informatics, IT operations, help desk, or training

Experience supporting EHR, EMR, practice management, revenue cycle, scheduling, or other healthcare-related software systems

Experience developing training materials, standard operating procedures, workflow guides, or knowledge base documentation

Experience with remote team management, ticketing systems, system implementation support, or application rollout support
