• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to deliver effective treatment interventions that foster healing and personal growth.
• Provide education and support not only to clients but also to their families regarding mood disorders, coping mechanisms, and available treatment options.
• Continuously monitor and measure client progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated care approach that addresses the holistic needs of clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorder treatment.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines while documenting client interactions and treatment plans.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives to enhance therapeutic skills and contribute to the organization's collective knowledge base.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and promote a broader understanding of mental health issues in the community.

You will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This includes individuals from various backgrounds, such as those facing challenges related to homelessness, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your ability to empathize and connect with clients from diverse experiences and struggles will be crucial in fostering trust and facilitating effective therapy outcomes.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• Empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences are essential.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a diverse caseload and administrative responsibilities effectively.

While not mandatory, experience in utilizing evidence-based treatment methods and working with similar patient populations will be beneficial in enabling you to provide the highest quality of care. Familiarity with integrated care models is also an asset.

• Salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
