Job description

GRANTS & CONTRACTS AWARD ANALYST
The University of Alabama at Birmingham

General Responsibilities: 
To review, approve and process awards and to collect and review all post-award documentation. To ensure award quality assurance concerning data capture in the system.

This position is remote hybrid-eligible after completion of the probationary period. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 
1.    Collects and reviews all post-award documentation for awards resulting in transmission of complete award package to Grants and Contracts Accounting. 
2.    Reviews and approves award elements, verifies compliance approvals and verifies that all terms and conditions for each new award is updated in MURE while providing a correct detailed budget. 
3.    Manages detailed MURE quality assurance processes for all processed awards to ensure reporting integrity. 
4.    Creates and processes to completion all Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Interagency Personnel Agreement (IPA) proposals and awards. Reviews submissions and awards and provides assistance with sponsor regulations and university policies as they relate to proposals and awards. 
5.    Ensures proper grant award training documentation and provides assistance regarding budgets and award processing. 
6.    Develops future award processes for non-federal award types such as industry, non-profit, state and local. 
7.    Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Pay Range: $50,050 - $81,330
 

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
