They are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to help oversee daily property operations while delivering exceptional tenant service in a professional and collaborative environment.
Job Description:
The Assistant Property Manager will support the daily management of a commercial office property by coordinating tenant services, vendor activities, financial processes, and building operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Candidates must be comfortable working in a secure government facility environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants by providing timely communication and outstanding customer service.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently through building staff or service providers.
- Assist with tenant move-ins, move-outs, and orientation meetings while managing required documentation.
- Perform routine property inspections to maintain building appearance, safety, and operational standards.
- Partner with vendors and internal departments to ensure quality service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Assist with preparing vendor agreements, purchase orders, and contract documentation.
- Review invoices and support budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and expense tracking.
- Monitor contractor performance and verify compliance with service agreements.
- Coordinate building access, service interruptions, and project scheduling during tenant improvement work.
- Help organize emergency preparedness training, evacuation drills, and other safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records using property management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Complete additional property management duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3โ4 years of commercial property management experience, including at least 2 years as an Assistant Property Manager or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field preferred.
- Government or secure facility experience is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of budgeting, operating expenses, and financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with property management or financial software is preferred.
- Knowledge of ADA and OSHA regulations is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, solve problems independently, and work collaboratively.
