Field Property Claims Representative - Insurance - Base Salary to 129k/year - Fresno, CA

  • Our client, a respected and established regional property and casualty (P&C) insurance carrier, has an immediate need for a Field Property Claims Representative to join their team. This remote/field-based position will handle residential and commercial property claims throughout Fresno, Bakersfield, and surrounding areas.
  • The Field Property Claims Representative will manage complex property losses from investigation through resolution, including structural damage, collapse, earth movement, and total building losses. This role requires extensive field property adjusting experience, advanced estimating and coverage analysis expertise, and experience negotiating high-value property claim settlements.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, evaluate, estimate, negotiate, and resolve residential, commercial, and agribusiness property claims
  • Handle complex property losses involving structural damage, collapse, earth movement, and total building losses
  • Conduct field inspections of damaged buildings and properties, including roofs, basements, attics, and other areas necessary to assess property damage
  • Prepare detailed property damage and repair estimates using Xactimate estimating software
  • Perform coverage analysis and evaluate claims based on applicable policy provisions
  • Draft coverage position letters, reservation of rights letters, and denial letters when applicable
  • Negotiate property claim settlements, including complex and high-value losses
  • Document claim investigations, property inspections, estimates, coverage determinations, and settlement activity
  • Provide technical claims support and serve as a technical resource during the manager's absence
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced property claims representatives
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory covering Fresno, Bakersfield, and surrounding areas

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of field property adjusting experience
  • Residential or commercial property claims experience
  • Experience investigating, evaluating, estimating, and negotiating property damage claims
  • Experience with coverage analysis and coverage determinations
  • Advanced property damage estimating experience
  • Xactimate estimating experience
  • Experience negotiating high-value property claim settlements
  • Experience drafting coverage position letters, reservation of rights letters, and denial letters
  • Experience conducting field inspections of residential or commercial buildings

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 77k - 129k/year range plus profit sharing, bonus, salary increases, and growth potential.

  • Remote/field role. You will receive mileage reimbursement & a stipend.
