This position allows for the flexibility of remote work, enabling counselors to create therapeutic relationships with clients from the comfort of their homes. Our virtual outpatient office provides a professional and secure platform for conducting therapy sessions. You will have access to state-of-the-art telehealth technology and a supportive administrative team that will handle billing and scheduling, allowing you to concentrate on providing exceptional care to your clients.

• Conduct confidential video-based therapy sessions with individuals facing mental health challenges, ensuring safety and trust throughout the therapeutic process.
• Assist clients in processing complex emotions, stressors, and life transitions while developing personalized and effective coping strategies tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Help clients set achievable mental health goals and design practical, actionable plans to facilitate their progress and growth.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or others pertinent to client needs.
• Document client progress and treatment plans using electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Nurturing Connections, you will work primarily with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. The organization is dedicated to providing culturally competent care, recognizing the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing therapeutic support to clients in individual or group settings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, complemented by an empathetic and client-centered approach.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred, enhancing our workflow efficiency and documentation processes.

While not mandatory, experience with specific populations (such as veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, or those struggling with substance use disorders) or familiarity with trauma-informed care techniques will be considered valuable assets. Proficiency in additional languages is also appreciated as it can improve service accessibility and client comfort.
