Job description

The Opportunity
The Project Controls Scheduler will work collaboratively with an external client and their project team to develop, manage and control project schedules, reporting and administration for utility scale transmission energy projects in various life-cycle phases from development through commercial operation. Candidate must be able to work collaboratively with Project Management and the client's project teams. Our Minneapolis, MN location is preferred, remote locations considered.
What You'll Do
  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible
  • Manage numerous project schedules evaluating critical path, schedule content, relationships and logic, constraints, and milestones
  • Assess impacts to the schedule critical path activities; report deviations and variances and assist in the developing action plans for corrective measures
  • Track scope changes, trends and variances that potentially affect schedule performance
  • Track, manage, report change control for project scope and schedule
  • Present project schedules to project management, project teams and client leadership
  • Document and track project meeting actions as directed
  • Attend and facilitate project/management meetings as required
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client and project team
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Consistently produce results that meet goals, have high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
  • Achieve results by problem solving, setting priorities and organization
  • Maintain customer focus to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner

What We Expect from You
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 3 years relevant project scheduling experience in the utility, energy, construction, or engineering field
  • Experience using Primavera P6 is desired
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communication with project management and client's leadership
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel occasionally for project and client-related needs
  • Must have permanent work authorization for the US

Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $96,500 - $130,500
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
