Vermont Information Processing (VIP) is looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Payroll Senior Specialist to join our Accounting team. As VIP continues to grow as a leading SaaS provider in the beverage industry, we are investing in scalable systems, thoughtful processes, and strong partnerships that support our employees around the globe.

In this role, you will support day-to-day payroll operations, partner closely with Accounting and People Operations, and help enhance the processes and systems that create a great employee experience.

What You'll Do

  • Support accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple locations, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on schedule
  • Manage key payroll activities, including employee changes, earnings, deductions, bonuses, commissions, garnishments, and off-cycle payments
  • Responsible for Canadian and Indian payroll processing, ensuring compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements in each country
  • Partner with Accounting, People Operations, and business teams to ensure payroll information is accurate, complete, and aligned across systems
  • Support payroll system administration (Paycom preferred), including employee data maintenance, reporting, troubleshooting, and process improvements
  • Assist with payroll-related reconciliations, reporting, month-end activities, and audit requests
  • Maintain payroll records and support compliance with applicable payroll, wage and hour, and employment requirements across jurisdictions
  • Partner with internal teams and external providers to support an evolving global payroll environment
  • Respond to employee payroll questions with accuracy, professionalism, discretion, and a customer-service mindset
  • Help identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve accuracy, leverage automation, and scale payroll operations as VIP grows
  • Stay informed on payroll trends, system enhancements, and regulatory changes that may impact payroll practices

What You Bring

  • Experience supporting payroll operations in a fast-paced, growing organization
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes, payroll systems, and applicable payroll regulations
  • Experience with multi-state payroll required; exposure to global payroll operations preferred
  • Experience working with payroll technology platforms; Paycom experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity
  • Ability to research issues, solve problems, and continuously improve how work gets done
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across teams
  • Comfort working independently while collaborating in a remote and distributed environment
