Role:
The National Account Manager (NAM) East will work remotely and be based out of the Eastern US, in a market where Kroger is present. You will be responsible for developing our customer base across this multi-state region while representing our brand to the core. You will own the relationships and accountability to drive our business through your assigned customers, leveraging all available tools and resources.
Responsibilities:
  • Own all aspects of the customer and broker relationships with all major National Customers in the region to include Kroger, Ahold (all banners), Publix and others as assigned
  • Create and execute the plan to profitably grow DWC distribution, share, display presence and ultimately revenue across the territory.
  • You will be responsible for strategic account management, including all aspects of the customer business plans. You will build the plans and make recommendations for programming and investments and be accountable to execute the plan to deliver desired financial outcomes
  • Have in-depth knowledge of our partners and the market, know our customers, stores, brokers, distributors and competitors and how they define success
  • Understand who decision makers are and how they prefer to communicate. Build relationships at customers vertically and horizontally
  • Leverage sales data, market trends, and partner feedback to proactively identify risks and uncover growth opportunities
  • Manage full customer P&Ls to deliver the plans. Make recommendations of tactics to employ at assigned customers including TPRs, ads, display programs, EDLP, shippers, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments and be the voice of your assigned retailers into the organization
  • Actively participate in trade shows and major sales events
  • Diligently use CRM (Modus/TPM or similar systems) and related tools to track activity, forecast, and support the S&OP process; maintain accountability for commitments

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of previous key account selling experience in the CPG industry, food/beverage preferred with the key accounts in the region
  • Minimum 2 years of successful experience calling on Kroger HQ along with other retailers in the geography
  • Analytical ability to leverage syndicated and customer POS data to build customer tailored sales stories/presentations. Familiarity with data sources such as: SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, Stratum, Numerator, etc.
  • Proven and successful sales track record
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively convey markets insights & conditions to the executive team
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and headquarter meetings. Travel in the 30- 50% range depending on home location
Remote Considerations: The National Account Manager (NAM) East will work remotely from a home office and must be based in the Eastern United States, preferably in a market where Kroger is present.
Expected Salary: $130,000 - $160,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and abilities. This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. This role is equity eligible. Additional benefits: medical, dental, vision benefits with the company covering 65% of premiums, 401(k) plan with 4% company match, paid holidays, and uncapped co-managed PTO.
