BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring an IT Asset Management Analyst for our Digital Workplace Services Team!
In this role, you will play a critical role in managing the lifecycle of the organization's IT assets, ensuring hardware and related technology assets are accurately tracked, maintained, and optimized throughout their lifecycle. You'll support the administration of asset inventory within ServiceNow, assist with procurement activities for laptops, monitors, and equipment, coordinate hardware refresh and upgrade projects, and help maintain controls that support audit readiness and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to partner across IT and business teams while contributing to initiatives that ensure employees have the technology they need to be successful.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience managing hardware assets within a structured IT environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operational responsibilities with project-based work, thrives in a process-driven environment, and takes pride in maintaining accurate inventory and asset records that support critical business operations.
Ideal candidates for the role will bring:
  • Experience managing IT hardware assets and supporting asset lifecycle processes
  • Experience working with ServiceNow Asset Management or similar enterprise asset management platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records and audit documentation
  • Experience participating in technology refreshes, hardware deployment initiatives, or other IT-related projects
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting IT asset audits, governance, and compliance activities
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT service management (ITSM) practices
  • Experience utilizing Workday Procurement or similar procurement systems
  • Experience working in large, complex corporate environments with significant hardware inventories

Note:
  • This is a remote, work-from-home position, but the final round of interviews will take place on-site in our Chattanooga, TN office
  • Candidates located in or near the Chattanooga area are strongly preferred, as this role participates in quarterly physical inventory activities at our corporate headquarters

Job Responsibilities
  • Reviewing hardware compliance measures based on warranty agreements and contracts to support business needs.
  • Managing contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and minimize costs for maintenance, and service offerings.
  • Managing, controlling, and accounting for hardware assets throughout all phases of the lifecycle from request to hardware to deployment to decommissioning.
  • Implementing and maintaining a hardware asset management program and system which includes hardware tracking, cost savings identification, corporate awareness, and routine reporting.

Job Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent years of work experience

Experience
  • 1 year - Experience in Information Technology required
  • 1 year - Experience with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, Access and SharePoint
