Job Title: Project Manager III Location: Groton, CT Type: Contract Compensation: $69-$74.62 Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Hours: 40.0

Overview Leading pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Project Manager III. Ideal candidates should have a bachelors degree and 3+ years of experience in project management, biospecimen management, laboratory operations, clinical research, or biobanking.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the project manager for biospecimen orders from initiation through fulfillment.
  • Establish and maintain project timelines, milestones, and priorities for multiple concurrent biospecimen requests.
  • Proactively track deliverables, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed to ensure on-time execution.
  • Document project activities, decisions, issues, corrective actions, and resolutions to ensure transparency and traceability.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal customers regarding biospecimen order status, requirements, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate closely with external biorepository vendors to ensure accurate and timely execution of biospecimen requests.
  • Support shipment of biospecimens from local facilities in accordance with applicable procedures and shipping requirements.
  • Track shipments and address any logistics-related issues to minimize delays and maintain sample integrity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Clinical Research, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, biospecimen management, laboratory operations, clinical research, or biobanking.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
