Summary
You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the SYSTEMS ACQUISITION GROUP, PROGRAM MANAGEMENT DEPT, PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SUPPORT PEO(A) PROGRAM DIVISION, and AIR, TACTICAL, & MULTI-MISSION SUPPORT BRANCH PMA-299 of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Help
  • You will be responsible for the management, direction/control of the acquisition, development, integration, testing, production, fielding, and life cycle support of major platforms, weapons systems, sub-systems, support/training systems for the PEOs.
  • You will be responsible for all cost, schedule and performance management of all the programs and projects assigned under the Program Office and also coordinate and serve as a key advisor and member of the Program Office Leadership Team.
  • You will develop and coordinate all required program acquisition documentation and briefings as well as ensure all program requirements and milestones are communicated and coordinated with program leadership.
  • You will identify program office and other discipline area support needed to meet assigned program requirements.
  • You will serve as liaison and representative in negotiations with other commands and offices of the Navy, DOD, other governmental agencies and private organizations on matters pertaining to the program.
  • You will evaluate program documentation to ensure that needs of the program are consistent with sound business practices and the degree of risk involved.
  • You will evaluate work performance of team members and provides inputs to Group Leaders and supervisors on performance of IPT members as well as identify developmental and training needs of team members.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band (DA-05) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Managing weapon systems acquisition using diverse technical and business systems to deliver mission capabilities;
2) Implementing high-level procurement policies to ensure strict regulatory compliance across all acquisitions;
3) Leading program execution by managing requirements, balancing budgets, and resolving scheduling and resource conflicts;
4) Driving process improvements by analyzing audits, customer feedback, and lessons learned to boost efficiency; and
5) Advising senior leaders and colleagues on complex issues, conducting special studies, and representing the command.
