Job description

As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer in Honeywell's Projects & Automation Solution (PAS) group, you will be supporting the Sheet Manufacturing market playing a critical role in the delivery of our advanced engineering projects. You will be responsible for developing and aligning project technical scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams. By developing project work plans, including schedules, resource fulfillment, and managing individual cost controls, you will ensure efficient project execution and successful delivery of our solutions. Your industry experience and expertise in project management and technical engineering will contribute to the overall success of our projects.

In this role, you will lead the success of our advanced engineering projects. You will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with stakeholders, identifying and eliminating project risks and issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.

The markets you will be serving include Pulp & Paper, Lithium-ion Battery (LIB), aluminum, rubber, plastic films, as well as OEMs and other processes where a continuous sheet is produced. The Honeywell solutions delivered for these projects include Quality Control Systems (QCS), Cross Direction (CD) Control Systems, Machine Direction (MD) Control Systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Web inspection, and other Continuous Web Solutions (CWS). 

You will report directly to a Project Engineering Manager and work remotely or from a dedicated Honeywell location when not deployed for project activities at one of our many customer locations across the U.S. and Canada.  You will also work closely with our aftermarket service branch, Lifecycle Services and Solutions (LSS), with their Regional Operations Collaboration Center (ROCC) located in Duluth GA.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in field support, engineering, or related roles for sheet manufacturing industry
  • Experience with MD/CD process control troubleshooting and optimization
  • Experience with 3rd party process data and control systems
  • Experience with PC networking equipment
  • Experience in managing complex engineering projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong leadership and project execution skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • Self-motivation and ability to work in dynamic and demanding environments
  • Software troubleshooting and customization skills
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willing to travel +50% of the time

"The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $133,000- $166,000. For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $153,000- $191,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
