The Project Costing Analyst is responsible for project costing accounting, reconciliations, and month-end analysis for assigned Yum! brands. Working across multiple brands and corporate functions, this role plays an active part in month-end processing for Project Costing and partners closely with Brand Reporting and Finance, Facilities Development, and Accounting Services teams. This role is remote in Louisville, Kentucky.

Salary Range: $64,900 - $66,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related Finance field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in property accounting, general accounting, or account reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with financial systems and reporting tools (JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar ERP systems preferred).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Own project costing accounting activities, including project setup, monitoring spend, retirements, journal entries for facility, development, national, and overhead projects.
  • Perform timely account reconciliations for assigned brands, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and internal controls.
  • Support period-end close processes, including preparation of depreciation estimates, expense matrices, software CIP reclasses, and related reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to project costing policies by reviewing capitalization, dispositions, capital interest, dead site and pre-capital expenditures, and large-dollar project thresholds.
  • Prepare and analyze project-related financial data, including fixed asset disposals and property loss claim setups and accruals.
  • Assist with internal, SOX, and external audit requests by providing documentation, analysis, and reconciliations.
