Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support a range of IT initiatives in Michigan. This Long-term Contract position will help keep project activities organized, stakeholders aligned, and deliverables progressing across end-user computing and infrastructure efforts. The role is well suited for someone who can balance strong coordination skills with enough technical understanding to work effectively with both business partners and technology teams.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate timelines, tasks, and milestones across several active IT projects to help maintain steady progress and clear accountability.

• Maintain project records by tracking risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and action items, ensuring information stays accurate and up to date.

• Organize status meetings, capture decisions, and document next steps so teams remain aligned on priorities and deliverables.

• Serve as a central point of coordination among technical staff, business stakeholders, external vendors, and project sponsors.

• Monitor project outputs and raise concerns when schedule issues, blockers, or potential delays could affect planned outcomes.

• Prepare clear project updates and communications for stakeholders, summarizing progress, priorities, and outstanding items.

• Provide day-to-day support to project managers and technical leads by following up on tasks and helping move work through completion.

• Keep project files, documentation, and collaboration spaces well organized and current within shared platforms.

• Assist with technology-related initiatives such as software rollouts, licensing efforts, operating system updates, onboarding readiness, user adoption activities, and infrastructure projects.

• Prior experience supporting IT initiatives in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, or entry-level project management capacity.
• Working knowledge of project management fundamentals, including scope control, schedule coordination, budget awareness, and risk or issue tracking.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and the ability to independently follow through on assignments.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to facilitate discussions, document updates, and keep stakeholders informed.
• Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Office 365 in a project-based environment.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum practices and experience using project tracking tools such as Microsoft Project, Project Server, or RAID logs.
• General understanding of infrastructure, workplace technology, desktop support, or end-user computing concepts sufficient to coordinate related workstreams.
