A well-established Data Center and Building Automation contractor is seeking an experienced BAS Application Engineer (Mid & Senior Level) to support projects throughout New Jersey. This position focuses on BAS programming, system integration, and commissioning for mission-critical and commercial facilities. Position Details:
  • Title: BAS Application Engineer (Mid & Sr. Level)
  • Location: New Jersey (multiple project sites)
  • Compensation: $100K-$160K (DOE) + ~20% Bonus

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, program, and refine BAS controllers and sequences of operation.
  • Prepare BMS submittals, as-builts, graphics, and control drawings.
  • Configure and integrate systems using BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP, and other industry protocols.
  • Provide remote engineering support to field technicians and project managers.
  • Commission BAS programs, verify logic, and ensure proper system performance.
  • Apply and maintain standardized programming and engineering practices.
  • Coordinate controls integration with HVAC, MEP, mechanical, and IT teams.
  • Troubleshoot BAS networks, servers, field controllers, and connected IoT devices.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience as a BAS Application Engineer, Controls Technician, Programmer, or similar role.
  • Strong technical skills in BAS programming, integration, and system troubleshooting.
  • Experience across multiple BAS platforms; Tridium Niagara experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving capabilities.
