About the Role

We are looking for a driven Associate Solutions Engineering Program Manager to lead and mentor a team of Associate Solutions Engineers (ASEs) through their technical training journey. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for technical education, program management, and a keen ability to foster career growth in others.

As an Associate Solutions Engineering Program Manager, you'll oversee the development and execution of training programs designed to equip ASEs with hands-on experience in technical domains like computer networking, cloud architecture, and physical security. You'll manage the progress of ASEs through their training, ensuring they gain valuable skills and experiences necessary for success in building technical solutions. You'll also work closely with seasoned Solutions Engineers to ensure mentorship and guidance are a core part of the program.

This position is located onsite in our San Mateo office; not hybrid or remote.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee the daily activities of the ASE training program, ensuring ASEs are meeting their learning milestones in areas such as cloud infrastructure, networking, and physical security.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineering leaders and trainers to build and refine training content that meets the evolving technical needs of the company.
  • Provide mentorship and career development support to ASEs, fostering a positive learning environment and offering guidance on future career paths.
  • Coordinate hands-on technical projects that allow ASEs to work with Verkada's full product suite, gaining real-world experience in designing and implementing security solutions.
  • Ensure ASEs are progressing in their communication and presentation skills, preparing them to interface with customers and deliver technical solutions.
  • Manage program logistics, including scheduling, cohort management, managing travel, and tracking ASE progress in technical certifications and soft skill development.
  • Facilitate ASE engagement with SE mentors and track the success of those relationships.
  • Regularly report on ASE program performance, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of experience in solutions engineering, program management, or technical enablement .
  • Strong understanding of technical domains such as computer networking, cloud architecture, and security infrastructure.
  • Previous experience in technical training or mentorship is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and guide early-career engineers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of accountability and adaptability.
