Principal Program Manager
8+ Months W2 Contract
Bay Area, CA preferred, remote ok (PST/CST)

Here's how you'll become a key player with this opportunity:

This role is to provide program support for a high-performing, fast-paced Growth/PLG leadership team that drives data-driven strategy across the organization.  Program management serves as a critical driver in driving cross-functional teams, Exec reporting associated with OKR targets, and a data science team with an ambitious strategic roadmap.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team:

  • Planning, Scheduling, and Execution: Create and update parallel program frameworks and timelines, manage execution, ensure alignment on milestones, identify and manage dependencies, and mitigate risks
  • Coordination and Communication: Provide clear, concise, and regular updates to leadership, stakeholders, and team members, facilitate cross-functional team meetings, drive priority and act as a liaison among contributing teams.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure project documentation is complete, current, and appropriately stored, create and distribute regular progress reports highlighting key achievements, risks, and next steps.
  • Metrics, Process Scaling, and Opportunity Assessment: Develop clear mechanisms to track and report metrics, standardize scalable processes for growth initiatives, and build frameworks to help the team evaluate new product and marketing opportunities.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks proactively, develop mitigation strategies, maintain a risk register, and ensure effective risk communication and management

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree and/or an advanced degree in a related field or equivalent. 
  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills to effectively manage multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously, especially when priorities shift rapidly.
  • Ability to recognize ambiguity and align on a decision making framework, drive conversations to bring clarity and enable decisions to be made in a timely manner
  • Ability to build strong positive relationships crossing org boundaries and leveraging those relationships to exert influence for a positive outcome. Skills: persuasion, empathy, persistence and adaptability.
  • Ability to create or enhance frameworks, standards, processes (Jira, Wikis, Slack) as needed to help teams execute effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to simplify processes as needed is a key skill.
  • Ability to understand facts and aid in unbiased, informed decision making. Understanding the bigger context and presenting the data to various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with data science teams, navigate KPI/OKR frameworks, and utilize insight‑driving tools to inform decisions and communicate results effectively.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and their application in automating tasks, optimizing team workflows, and improving operational outcomes is a plus.

Pay Range: 

$100.00 - $112.67/hour
