RTX has an opening for a SAP Plant Maintenance Digital Technology Analyst ( Manager, Business and Program Management) position. The OneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation Program will harmonize key business processes, associated tools, metrics, and reporting across the company, enabling the migration of capabilities into standardized ERP systems. RTX has chosen SAP’s S/4HANA to enable our future ERP system and has largely concluded the strategic definition and design phase and is now entering the initial blueprinting, build and support phases.

The SAP Plant Maintenance Digital Technology Analyst is responsible for helping in the successful delivery within each phase of the program, including:

  • Blueprint – detailed design for processes, utilizing best practices and maximizing process harmonization opportunities; evaluation of gaps and making scope decisions.

  • Build – collaborate with an integrated team of external resources and internal RTX team members in the configuration and development of system capabilities.

  • Testing – support the creation and execution of test scenarios and scripts; work alongside business leaders and testers to ensure proper functionality and defect resolution.

  • Cutover & Hypercare – support successful migration from legacy systems to new environments. Support go-live and the continuation of RTX business’ financial and operational performance.

You will be a strong fit for this role if you bring experience leading large-scale, complex initiatives focused on business process and system transformation—particularly within organizations implementing ERP solutions. Ideally, you’ve worked with SAP S/4HANA in manufacturing environments, and are well-versed in Plant Maintenance, Product Compliance, and Dangerous Goods Management.

What You Will Do

  • The SAP Plant Maintenance Analyst will be responsible for the delivery of Digital Technology deliverables in the Blueprint, Build, Test, Cutover Deployment and Hypercare Phases of the implementation of S4 HANA Plant Maintenance module.

  • Collaborate with business and digital team members and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide guidance on utilizing S4 Hana effectively in support of Plant Maintenance processes and related Master Data.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that leverage S4 HANA, enhancing our Plan to Sustain processes in alignment with desired RTX operating model and industry best practices.

  • Facilitate end to end process mapping of Plant Maintenance business scenarios between S4 HANA and related Boundary Systems

  • Lead Requirements gathering, Data Mappings, Configuration, Build and Testing of S4 HANA system to support Plant Maintenance.

  • Serve as liaison across cross-functional teams for Digital Technology deliverables in Build, Test, Cutover, and Implementation, Hypercare phases

  • Coordinate activities across Digital Technology, Business Unit, Corporate, System Integrators and PMO teams to ensure assigned work is completed and communicated successfully

  • Create and maintain Project Artifacts including Configuration Design Documents, Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, and Test Plans for any forms, reports, enhancements, conversion programs, integrations and workflows deemed in scope for Plant Maintenance processes.

  • Lead testing and defect remediation of S4 HANA in support of Plant Maintenance processes.

  • Assist data and process teams in data mapping activities and testing.

  • Ensure that RTX is positioned for future success within all functional areas of Plan to Sustain.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% or as needed


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • Experience configuring and supporting SAP ERP, including technical knowledge of the Plant Maintenance module, including but not limited to Equipment, Functional Locations, Notifications, Task Lists and Maintenance Plans.

  • Hands-on experience supporting data cleansing and migration activities.

Role Type: Remote

This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
