 Job Description:

Provides application support to the Cadence module and user assistance within the assigned application(s).  The Epic Application Analyst is responsible for the full system cycle, whether it is a new system or an upgrade.  They act as a second level of support and an extension of the help desk as part of the day-to-day support duties.  The Epic Application Analyst understands their assigned applications, their value to the business aspects of clinical operations and assists users to maximize the utility of the clinical system.  In this role, the Epic Application Analyst serves as the liaison between the user community, IT, the Epic build team and other departments as necessary.  Additionally, the Epic Application Analyst performs all design, build, optimization, and upgrade tasks for assigned module(s) and associated integrations.  This position is primarily remote but must be able to travel onsite to our facilities for projects.

To qualify you must have:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business management, or information systems.
  • Experience in scheduling, registration, insurance verification and pre-authorization preferred.
  • Proven skills in problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Exposure and general understanding of front end workflows. 
  • Working knowledge of multiple software applications, systems analysis/design, integration/design, or web applications/design.
  • General understanding of underlying technologies: hardware, networking, Intranet, Internet, PDA, bar coding and wireless.
  • Ability and commitment to meet deadlines and cope in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working well in a diverse, multidisciplinary team and successfully interacting with others at all levels of the organization, including remote teams.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in both normal and pressure situations.
  • Proficient MS Office skills.
  • Epic proficiency/certification preferred or must obtain Epic proficiency/certification during the introductory period.
