Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Program Cost Control Analyst with strong program financial knowledge to support accurate invoicing, compliance, and financial integrity across government contracts. This role centers on billing operations while utilizing program cost, funding, and performance insights to ensure invoices align with contract requirements, program status, and financial expectations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable supporting both billing and broader program financial activities from a remote work environment.
What you will do
  • Manage government billing activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant invoice submissions
  • Validate billing data, audit system inputs, and resolve complex billing discrepancies
  • Analyze billing trends, research issues, and coordinate with internal teams to maintain data integrity
  • Explain billing requirements and invoice details to program staff, clients, and auditors
  • Support funding oversight by reviewing expenditures, contract mods, and program financial status
  • Apply program cost knowledge to ensure billing aligns with budgets, forecasts, EAC/ETC updates, and contract terms
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, variance insights, and other data supporting billing decisions
  • Maintain accurate records for funding, revenue, and closeout documentation
  • Support internal/external audit requests and recommend improvements to billing processes and systems
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Contracts, Procurement, and Accounts Receivable to ensure billing accuracy and resolve issues
  • Additional duties as assigned or required

What we are looking for
  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience
  • Experience with government billing practices and financial/accounting procedures
  • Knowledge of Costpoint or similar systems
  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data and resolve billing or collections issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, especially Excel
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

  • Experience with Costpoint Billing
  • Prior DoD/government contracting financial analysis experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • AAS contract experience
