What is a remote program analyst?

Remote Program Analysts are professionals who evaluate, monitor, and improve organizational programs and processes while working from a remote location. They analyze data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. Remote Program Analysts often collaborate with teams virtually, leveraging digital tools to track project progress, solve problems, and support decision-making. Their work is essential for organizations looking to optimize programs without requiring onsite presence.

How do remote program analysts typically collaborate with team members across different locations?

Remote Program Analysts often work with cross-functional teams spread across various locations, so strong communication skills and familiarity with virtual collaboration tools are essential. They regularly participate in video conferences, share progress through project management software, and coordinate with stakeholders via email or instant messaging. Building relationships remotely requires proactive communication and clear documentation to ensure everyone stays informed and aligned on project goals. This collaborative approach helps maintain productivity and fosters a supportive remote work environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote program analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Program Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, project management abilities, and a relevant degree in business, public administration, or a related field. Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau), project management software (like Asana or Trello), and experience with reporting systems are typically required. Exceptional communication, time management, and problem-solving skills help remote analysts collaborate effectively and drive program success. These competencies ensure accurate analysis, efficient project execution, and effective teamwork in a distributed work environment.

Job description

Your role in our mission

As our Program Manager, People Programs, you will design, launch, and scale programs that strengthen our workplace culture, foster growth, and drive retention. You will drive the day to day operations of core People programs-focusing on onboarding, performance management, engagement, and talent development. Partnering closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and business leaders, you will help translate organizational needs into structured programs that support employees across their entire employee lifecycle.

How you'll make an impact
  • Drive Employee Feedback & Action: Manage employee listening strategies (engagement surveys, pulse checks, exit insights). Translate complex survey data into actionable strategies for executive leadership and people managers.

  • Optimize Onboarding & Hybrid Connection: Refine onboarding workflows and resources to ensure new hybrid and remote hires are supported, informed, and connected from day one.

  • Enable Performance & Growth: Develop and maintain company-wide performance system. Partner with HRBPs to facilitate seamless performance cycles (OKRs, quarterly performance reviews, calibrations). Create lightweight toolkits to help managers give actionable feedback.

  • Scale Manager & Team Enablement: Identify core capabilities gaps alongside HRBPs to design and deliver practical manager workshops, learning tracks, and career pathing resources.

  • Measure Program Effectiveness: Establish clear program success metrics (participation, eNPS, retention, cycle completion).

Skills that will help you thrive
  • Experience & Education: 5+ years in HR, People Operations, or Employee Program Management, with 2+ years directly involved in engagement, performance management, employee experience, or talent development programs. Bachelor's degree required.

  • HRBP & Leadership Collaboration: Proven ability to partner effectively with HRBPs and other People Team leaders as well as coordinating across company leadership to execute programs.

  • Performance & Goal Systems: Direct experience coordinating performance management processes, calibration sessions, or goal-setting frameworks (e.g., Lattice, Culture Amp, Betterworks).

  • End-to-End Ownership: Proven track record of taking program concepts from initial design to full rollout, including change management and communications.

  • Analytical & Empathetic: Skilled at identifying human trends behind raw survey data and converting friction points into practical solutions.

  • Strong Communication & Facilitation Skills: Comfortable leading manager workshops, and writing clear internal communications.

  • Inclusion Mindset: Experience embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into program design and supporting ERGs.

Resources to help you prosper
  • A connected experience: We prioritize high-touch collaboration and flexibility. Whether you are working from our San Francisco or Phoenix offices or joining us as a fully remote team member, we provide the digital-first tools and intentional culture to keep you synced and supported
  • Invested in your future: A competitive salary and a 401(k) with a 5% company match to help you build long-term financial security
  • Holistic well-being: We provide the resources you need to thrive, from flexible time off and paid parental leave to an annual wellness allowance and comprehensive health coverage
  • Professional & personal growth: Take advantage of a suite of premium perks, including Udemy access, childcare assistance, pet insurance, and a bevy of additional savings through Beneplace
$116,000 - $145,000 a year
Compensation details: The salary for this position is $116k - 145k annually, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
