The Defense Sector, Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos is seeking a project analyst to join our team. Do you have a passion for ensuring the seamless operation of a diverse team? Although this role is 75% remote, candidates located in the Warner Robins, GA area are strongly preferred. There can be up to 25% in office work at the customer location on Warner Robins Air Force Base that will be required.

In this role, you will support the Program Manager as a project analyst, assisting with execution of a highly complex program and provide comprehensive support to our operational team. You will

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help develop WBSs, schedules, track status of CDRLs and work products and ensure they are delivered on time
  • Review the work of the teams to ensure high quality products are delivered to the customer
  • Clearly communicate with the PM on status of workload and provide early identification of issues
  • Work with the PM to assist with management of subcontractors including developing SOWs, SSJs, and monitoring performance post-award
  • Manage metrics for monthly status reports
  • Prepare briefings and assist the PM with collecting technical data to generate reports
  • Provide support to the PM for program planning and cost estimating
  • Assist with establishing and defining program plan requirements, delivery timeline, key performance indicators, including monitoring and reporting performance
  • Develop graphs and trend analysis for various technical documents and CDRLs
  • Help establish and maintain SOPs, user documentation, and training material.
  • Assist with change management activities, including agile software development methodologies
  • Assist with managing Jira Boards and developing automation to generate reports
  • Interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree with 8 or more years of prior relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 6-10 years of prior relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance is required
  • Experience managing and leading small teams
  • Ability to lead teams to develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution.
  • Lead teams to develop solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
  • Experience with technical writing and understanding technical documentation requirements
  • Experience reviewing technical work products
  • Experience generating trend analysis and working with datasets to create graphs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to travel when needed by the program

Preferred Quals:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Administration or other relevant technical field
  • Knowledge of Confluence and Jira
  • Experience using agile methodologies
  • Prior experience working for the Department of War, Air Force or as a government contractor
