Job description

Position Title: Remote Public Finance Banker
Salary Range: $150,000-$200,000/ annually, DOE + Commission
An established, well-capitalized financial services firm is seeking an experienced Public Finance Banker to expand its municipal finance presence across the U.S. This is a fully remote, production-driven opportunity for a proven banker who brings strong client relationships, understands creative financing structures, and wants the freedom to build business without being boxed into a narrow territory or vertical. The ideal candidate is an established Public Finance Banker with a demonstrated history of revenue production, deep municipal relationships, and the ability to independently originate and grow business. This role is built for someone who knows the market, knows their clients, and wants a strong platform behind them to execute.
Responsibilities
  • Leverage established relationships to originate and grow public finance business across municipal and related markets
  • Develop creative financing solutions tailored to the unique needs and objectives of clients
  • Build and manage a book of business with the goal of ramping production toward $1M+ in annual revenue
  • Partner with underwriting, sales, trading, and administrative support teams to execute transactions efficiently
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with existing and prospective clients through strategic outreach and ongoing advisory support
  • Travel to meet with clients as needed based on individual business development strategy
  • Represent the firm professionally in client meetings, industry events, and throughout the broader public finance community

Requirements
  • 5-10+ years of experience as a Public Finance Banker with experience at the VP, Senior VP, Managing Director, or comparable level
  • Proven individual production history, ideally generating approximately $1M+ in annual revenue, with consideration for candidates consistently producing around $750K+
  • Established client relationships that can transition to and grow on a new platform
  • Strong understanding of municipal finance with the ability to develop creative financing solutions across a range of credit profiles and transaction types
  • Required FINRA and industry licenses applicable to the role, such as Series 7 and Series 65
  • Polished, credible communication skills with the ability to confidently represent the firm and advise sophisticated clients

Benefits
  • Competitive base salary structured as a forgivable draw against commission
  • Tiered commission structure with increasing payout percentages as annual gross revenue grows
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility to manage your schedule around client and business needs
  • Optional support for regional workspace arrangements depending on location and business needs
  • Dedicated administrative support to help bankers stay focused on relationships, production, and execution
  • Employee ownership opportunity within a privately held firm, with eligible employees able to purchase shares at book value
  • Comprehensive employee benefits and paid time off

If you're an established Public Finance Banker with the relationships, production history, and entrepreneurial drive to build something substantial, apply today and bring your book of business to a platform built to help you grow it.
