Job Description
  • Lead modernization and own end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for DMV self-service kiosks, focused on vehicle registration and driver license renewals at a state level
  • Drive product discovery and define solutions for complex, highly regulated workflows across multiple state jurisdictions with varying requirements
  • Build and manage a configurable, multi-state platform (multi-tenant mindset) using feature flags and scalable system design rather than one-off custom builds
  • Partner closely with engineering, hardware, and implementation teams to deliver integrated software physical kiosk solutions
  • Work directly with state agencies and stakeholders to influence product direction, challenge requirements, and align on scalable solutions
  • Navigate a complex political and regulatory environment, balancing stakeholder needs, compliance requirements, and product scalability
  • Collaborate with sales, implementation, and support teams embedded in daily operations across multiple states
  • Lead modernization efforts for legacy kiosk systems, improving self-service capabilities and user experience for DMV customers
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-moving, startup-like environment with evolving priorities and strong personalities
Requirements
  • 4 years of product management experience with demonstrated growth in ownership and scope
  • Experience working on state-level regulated software (DMV strongly preferred; tolling, parking, or similar acceptable if at the state level)
  • Experience with hardware software products (kiosks, terminals, or physical device integrations)
  • Technically conversant with APIs, integrations, and system design concepts; comfortable working closely with engineering teams
  • Experience building or managing configurable systems (feature flags, multi-tenant or multi-state platforms)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and push back on external stakeholders, including government agencies
  • Ability to operate in complex, ambiguous environments with strong opinions and the ability to back decisions with data and research
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, implementation, and customer-facing stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Nice to Have
  • Direct experience with DMV systems, dealer-to-DMV platforms.
