To thrive as a Remote Product Launch Manager, you need expertise in project management, product development lifecycle, and market analysis, often supported by a degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Trello, Asana, JIRA, CRM systems, and knowledge of product launch frameworks or certifications such as PMP can be highly beneficial. Remote product launch professionals often encounter challenges such as coordinating cross-functional teams across different time zones, maintaining clear communication, and tracking project milestones without face-to-face interaction. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and proactively identifying potential roadblocks can also contribute to a smoother, more successful product launch.

  • Customer & Market Insights: Develop a deep understanding of customer workflows, applications, and unmet needs. Translate customer insights into product requirements and roadmap priorities through analysis of market trends, customer feedback, competitive offerings, and industry developments.
  • Portfolio Performance & Growth: Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to maximize growth. Identify opportunities to expand existing products, applications, and market reach while supporting long-term portfolio health.
  • New Product Development: Lead cross-functional New Product Development (NPDI) initiatives and guide products through various stages of the product lifecycle. Collaborate across functions to align development activities with customer and business requirements.
  • Product Launch & Commercialization: Drive successful product launches through cross-functional coordination. Support commercialization efforts through product positioning, business case development, and launch planning.
  • Pricing & Competitive Strategy: Develop pricing strategies and evaluate competitive market dynamics. Use market and customer insights to strengthen product positioning and portfolio value.

  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, or equivalent experience (Master's degree and 6 years, PhD and 3 years, or HS Diploma and 12 years).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage product portfolios, balance strategic and commercial priorities, and influence cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Portfolio Management, Business Development, or related life science industry roles.
  • Experience with biological products, reagents, cell culture, microbiology, molecular biology, or reference materials.
  • Experience managing products through various stages of the product lifecycle and developing business cases, product requirements, or commercialization plans.
  • Strong understanding of life science research markets, customer applications, and scientific workflows.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret scientific information and translate it into business strategy.
  • Preferred: Master's degree (MS) or MBA.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting cell culture media, sera, supplements, reagents, or specialty cell culture applications.
  • Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional product development and commercialization initiatives in the life sciences industry.

The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
