We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, multi-faceted Product Owner with Project Management experience to join our team supporting an online application tailored for healthcare providers. This position is vital in ensuring our customers receive timely and efficient assistance with both technical and business-related issues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong understanding of product development, technical support processes, aptitude with numbers, and the ability to work cross-functionally to address customer needs and improve customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Product Feedback & Roadmap Alignment

  • Act as the bridge between client priorities and the product roadmap-advocating for enhancements that align with both user needs and organizational goals.
  • Provide ideation and awareness of industry-related emerging trends that drive existing and new product innovation.
  • Collect and prioritize bugs, feature requests, and improvement suggestions from clients.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and engineering teams to refine the backlog, define acceptance criteria, and track progress through release cycles.
  • Perform competitive product analysis and responsive product and marketing strategies.
  • Develop team KPIs and other performance measures, such as return on investment goals.
  • Analyze recurring support trends to identify opportunities for product optimization and process improvement.

Project & Program Management

  • Serve as the primary front-line point of contact for clients throughout the full lifecycle of engagement, coordinating communication, managing expectations related to scope and timelines, and ensuring a high-quality client experience.
  • Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of software implementation and integration projects (e.g., Lifia Portal and data integration projects).
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and deliverables using Agile and/or hybrid methodologies.
  • Track progress against milestones, manage risks and dependencies, and proactively communicate updates with clients and internal leadership to ensure alignment on scope, timeline, and delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate go-live readiness, testing activities, and transition to ongoing support.
  • Facilitate recurring project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate status with clients and leadership.
  • Maintain awareness of client missions (e.g., public health, government programs) and applicable regulatory requirements, ensuring all work is delivered in a compliant manner.

Business & Systems Analysis

  • Lead client discovery sessions with stakeholders and end-users to understand system goals, user workflows, business processes, and data requirements.
  • Understand and communicate system architecture, data integrations (APIs, HL7/FHIR), and hosting/security considerations.
  • Translate functional requirements into clear specifications for development and configuration teams.
  • Document current and future state processes, data flows, and system interfaces.
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet user needs through acceptance testing and user feedback sessions; and identify opportunities for system improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in technical project management, software implementation, customer support, or product delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and produce clear project documentation.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of healthcare provider workflows, terminology and HIPAA compliance is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, data standards (API, HL7/FHIR), and web application architectures.
  • Experience reviewing RFPs and contributing to proposals, is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies and change management practices.
