Key responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities to ensure material and equipment needs align with project schedules and field requirements.

  • Track all material orders from purchase through delivery, proactively identify and resolve supply chain issues, and develop logistics plans.

Job description

About the Role
This is a fully onsite, hands-on field role based at our project site in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. We are looking for an experienced, boots-on-the-ground Procurement / Logistics Manager with a direct background in construction procurement and logistics - this is not a remote or desk-based analyst position. You will be on-site daily, working directly with field teams, warehouses, laydown yards, and delivery crews to keep materials and equipment flowing to a complex, mission-critical construction project.
You'll serve as the key link between project teams, vendors, suppliers, and field operations, ensuring materials, equipment, and resources are sourced, tracked, and delivered in alignment with project schedules - solving supply chain challenges in real time, on the ground.
From purchase order creation through delivery coordination and logistics planning, you'll play a critical role in maintaining project continuity and operational success.
This role requires being physically present on an active construction site for project launch. Candidates must currently reside in or be willing to immediately relocate to the West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana area at their own expense. This is not initially a hybrid or remote position until the team is hired.
Work authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.
What You'll Do - Source Efficiently. Deliver Reliably.
  • Manage procurement activities across multiple projects to ensure material and equipment needs align with project schedules and field requirements.
  • Act as the primary on-site interface between the company and vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely communication and issue resolution.
  • Source & procure project materials.
  • Track all material orders from purchase through delivery while ensuring on-time arrival and visibility into order status.
  • Proactively identify material risks, shortages, or delays and expedite critical items to minimize project impact.
  • Develop logistics plans.
  • Work daily and in person with Project Managers, Field Superintendents, and site teams to coordinate delivery timing, staging, and material readiness at the site.
  • Monitor inventory levels on-site and assist with forecasting future material requirements based on upcoming project schedules.
  • Maintain procurement accuracy.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and support vendor negotiations around pricing, delivery timelines, and service terms.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships that support reliability, responsiveness, and long-term project success.
  • Quickly identify and resolve procurement or delivery issues on-site while minimizing disruption to project execution.
  • Promote efficiency and continuous improvement across procurement and logistics processes.

Systems & Project Environments You'll Support
  • Construction & Infrastructure Projects
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Operations
  • Project Execution Teams

What You Bring - Required
Hands-on construction industry background is required. Candidates without direct construction procurement/logistics experience will not be considered.
  • 3-5+ years of experience specifically in construction, industrial, or infrastructure procurement and logistics - general corporate procurement, category management, or analyst-only backgrounds do not meet this requirement.
  • Demonstrated experience working on active construction or industrial job sites, not solely in an office/analyst capacity.
  • Willingness and ability to be on-site full time in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly in an active construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain coordination, and logistics planning in a construction context.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to proactively identify supply chain risks and implement solutions in real time, on-site.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills across vendors, field teams, and leadership.
  • Experience negotiating pricing, delivery timelines, and supplier terms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; we are unable to sponsor employment visas for this role.

Preferred
  • Experience supporting data center, critical infrastructure, energy, or similar mission-critical project environments.
  • Experience supporting Division 28 or comparable technical project scopes.
  • Experience using procurement tracking systems, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

Work Environment
This role operates on an active construction job site in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, with regular time in field offices, warehouses, and staging/laydown yards. Responsibilities include standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Travel up to 50% may be required to support client meetings, project execution, and additional site activities.
Ready to Keep Projects Moving?
If you have hands-on construction procurement and logistics experience and are ready to be on the ground in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, driving material flow for a mission-critical project, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help build the infrastructure powering tomorrow's projects.
