Position Overview

JGMisseekingaskilledSeniorEstimatorwith7+yearsofindustrialconstructionexperiencetojoinourexpandingteam.Theidealcandidatewillbeadeptatestimatingcomplexprojectsinvolvingstructuralsteelfabrication,erection,equipmentsetting,andpiping,withaprovenabilitytomanageprojectestimatesupto$30million,withexposuretolargerprojectsaplus.


This role also involves soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and vendor pricing for multiple trades, including concrete/civil, electrical, and specialty subcontractors. Occasional travel to job sites across the country is required. Eastern Time Zone candidates are strongly preferred.


Responsibilities

  • Developdetailedcostestimatesforindustrialconstructionprojects,fromconcepttofinalproposal.
  • Analyzeprojectdocumentation(drawings,specifications,RFIs)toidentifyscope,risks,andopportunitiesforvalueengineering.
  • Performdetailedquantitytake-offsandpricingforstructuralsteelfabrication,erection,equipmentsetting,andpiping.
  • Solicit,evaluate,andnegotiatepricingfromsubcontractorsandvendorsacrossvarioustrades(concrete/civil,electrical,etc.).
  • Collaboratewithprojectmanagement,engineering,andprocurementteamstoensureaccuratescopingandbudgeting.
  • Preparecomprehensivebidproposalsandpresentestimatestoleadershipandclients.
  • Identifycost-savingmeasuresandproposealternativesolutionstomeetclientneeds.
  • Staycurrentonindustrytrends,materialcosts,andconstructionbestpractices.
  • Ensureestimatesalignwithcompanygoalsandprofitabilitytargets.


Qualifications

  • 7+yearsofexperienceinindustrialconstructionestimating.
  • In-depthknowledgeofstructuralsteelfabrication/erection,equipmentsetting,andpiping.
  • Experiencemanagingestimatesforprojectsupto$30million;experiencewithlargerprojectsisaplus.
  • Bachelor'sdegreeinconstructionmanagement,engineering,orarelatedfield-equivalentworkexperienceiswelcomedinlieuofadegree.
  • Proficiencyinsubcontractor/vendorsolicitationacrossmultipletrades,includingcivil,concrete,andelectrical.
  • Expertiseinestimatingsoftware(e.g.,Bluebeam,Procore,SageEstimating,orsimilarplatforms)andMicrosoftOfficeSuite.
  • Abilitytointerpretengineeringdrawings,specifications,andbiddocuments.
  • Strongnegotiation,analytical,andcommunicationskills.
